My new Ben Sherman jacket from MQ. Original price is 2000 SEK or approximately 300 $. How much did I pay for it? Much less. However, I am starting to wonder if I’m becoming too choosy. I couldn’t find any shoes for several months that match my interests. But fortunately for me, I found one a couple of days ago at DinSko.
I had an interesting discussion with my tutor regarding what matters most when you become older. The answer can neatly be described as: to make an impact. Through your job. When I read development psychology I learned alot regarding aging and living your life.
First, live your life when you’re young as if you were old. The reason behind this statement is that you won’t regret anything when you become older. That’s why I try to live my life now as if I was much older. This is probably why a great deal of people get suprised when they begin listening to what I have to say. Especially people in my own age.
Second, think like an adult but live like a child. Why is this important? It’s simple, it will become much easier to understand children, your own and others. But also, in the teacher profession you stay up to date with what’s going on in youths’ world. This has made a great impact on me during my teacher practise.
Finally, life is not how we live it; but rather how we remember it.

1. Let’s save Santa a trip this year; be naughty =]
2. I wish I was Santa..he knows where all the naughty girls live!
3. Christmas is weird. What other time of the year do you sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of your socks?
4. Oh Christmas tree oh Christmas tree..why did you fall on top of me? You broke my leg, you killed my dog, you suffercated Santa Claus..oh Christmas tree oh Christmas tree..why did you fall on top of me!
5. I’m making my Christmas list..how do you spell your name?
6. Christmas is about spending time with someone that is near and dear to your heart. That’s why I’m going to have dinner with my pacemaker. I made a reservation at Burger King.
7. Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.
8. From a commercial point of view, if Christmas did not exist it would be necessary to invent it.
9. Santa Claus has the right idea - visit people only once a year.
10. Christmas is cancelled! I told Santa you were good this year and he died laughing.
If you don’t understand the picture, just ask any 11 year old child, like my little brother, what it means.

I could probably write a book about the headline, but I won’t..yet. However, today I had a long and interesting conversation with my beloved mother regarding the difference between people from the West (Europe) and the East (Middle East).
It started quite funny with me, detecting that she was making up an answer when I asked her a question about this issue. She became interested in how I could detect that, and I started explaning from my knowledge in police psychology and experience from crime movies, such as The Negotiator (1998). Furthermore, we came to the expected conclusion that people differ in sense of feelings and emotional behavior. How they act when facing a problem or rasing their children. I have heard a great number of people refering to this issue by the name “the Swedish coldness”. On the contrary, I would like to call it “the Swedish calmness”. One may agree that these definitions goes hand in hand with each other.
This has interested me for a long time, which explains also my big interest for social psychology. For example, many people live their lives with the thought that love is about finding someone you can live with. But for me it’s about finding someone you can’t live without. So much hate, so little love. I wounder if one could make an impact on hateful people by saying: be optimistic, all the people you hate are going to die eventually.
